How to get an Instinct AI invite, and what your team can use meanwhile
There is no Instinct invite code to find. As of October 27, 2026, you get into Instinct one of two ways: a private invite link from someone who already uses it, or the waitlist, which you join by entering your phone number at instinct.com and confirming it with a one-time code. Instinct has not published a wait time. Skip anyone selling invites, and if you wanted Instinct for team work in Slack, know that its terms limit it to personal use, so a shared team agent is the better fit there.
How do you get access to Instinct right now?
Instinct is a personal assistant you text or call, with no app to install. Built In describes it as in beta and invite-only while the company scales its compute. The Verge says you need either an invitation from a current user or approval from the waitlist; its reviewer was approved after a couple of hours, which is one person's experience, not a promise.
| Route | How it works | What can go wrong |
|---|---|---|
| Invite link from a member | A current user asks their Instinct for a private invite link and sends it to you. You open it, enter your phone number, and type the sign-in code texted to you. | Links can be used up, expired, or revoked, and a valid link can still land on an at-capacity screen. |
| Waitlist | On instinct.com, choose Try Instinct, enter your phone number, and confirm it with the code. If there is no room, you are put on the waitlist. | No published wait time, queue position, or launch date. |
| A group chat | A friend who has Instinct can add it to a group chat; reporting says it works even for people who have not joined. | You use their group's Instinct, not your own account. |
| Buying an invite | Not an official route. | You can pay and still wait, and the terms allow one account per person. |

Is there an Instinct invite code?
No. Invites are links, not codes. The only code in the process is the one-time sign-in code Instinct sends to your own phone when you enter your number. Instinct's terms say that entering your number means consenting to a text with a verification code, and that the same consent covers a welcome text "when your spot becomes available" and waitlist updates.
That makes the scam pattern easy to spot: anyone who asks you to read back a code you received is asking for the key to your account. Never share it.
How do you ask a friend for an Instinct invite?
Ask someone who already uses Instinct to text their assistant for an invite link. Carly's guide reports that each member gets five invites and that the welcome screen tells new members to ask Instinct for their private link. It also lists the messages you may see when a link fails: used up, referral limit reached, expired or revoked, or "Instinct is at capacity" with a button to join the waitlist.
Open the link the day you get it. Since a valid link can still drop you on the waitlist when Instinct is full, do not count on access until sign-up finishes.
How long is the Instinct waitlist?
Nobody outside the company knows. Instinct has not published a queue size, an average wait, or a public launch date, and reports of approvals in hours or weeks are anecdotes. The founder has said, as reported by Fortune and repeated by Built In, that access stays limited while Instinct brings up more compute. If you are on the waitlist, the official signal is the welcome text to your phone.
Should you buy an Instinct invite?
No. Fortune reported that some users were selling invitations on eBay, and our own earlier review of whether Instinct is safe for work covers why that is a poor start: Instinct will hold your email, calendar, and payment details. A bought link can already be used up, and Instinct's terms say you may only create one account at a time. Use an invite from someone you know or the official waitlist.
Can you use Instinct for team work in Slack?
Not as a team tool. Instinct's terms grant use of the service "for your personal use only," and it is built around one person's phone, accounts, and preferences. Even if you connect a work account, your teammates cannot hand it work the way they would a colleague in a channel.

What can your team use while you wait?
If what you wanted from Instinct was help with team work (status updates, client briefs, weekly reports, follow-ups), a shared AI coworker in Slack is the better match than a personal agent anyway. A shared agent sits in your channels, and anyone there can ask it for something.
Geniusly is an AI coworker for your team in Slack. It reads the accounts you connect (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Slack, GitHub, Linear, and Google Ads) and prepares a brief, report, status update, or handoff for a person to review. Connected apps are read-only by default, except Google Sheets edits you explicitly ask for, and Slack messages beyond its reply are posted only after your approval. Anyone in a channel it has been invited to can ask it for work, it can run a task once, daily, or weekly, and it has a Free plan.
Good first tasks are the ones you repeat every week: a weekly status report, a client brief from a Gmail thread, or a client handoff. If you are comparing other team agents, start with the best AI coworkers for Slack in 2026 and which ones you can try free.
